A little twist


Since I am unable to consume any dairy at the moment, and my husband does not like true gravy.. I decided to put a twist on a classic recipe.

Beef Cubes
Egg Noodles
teriyaki sauce
1/4 C. water
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 C Beef broth
2 Tbsp diced onions.

Cook beef cubes until they are they way you prefer, we like medium rare. Mix flour into water until there are no chunks, pour broth over beef, and mix in flour/water mix stir over medium heat, mix in teriyaki, and onions.. the sauce will begin to thicken. Cool for a few minutes then pour over egg noodles.

I served this with sauted green beans mixed with a dash of teriyaki sauce, lemon & pepper, and EVOO.

For an extra kick, try Italian dressing in place of the beef broth, almost identical bit a little tangier. Just an idea for next time for you.
