79.82????? Are you kidding me?

Please tell me I'm not the only one... It happens everytime I go... I just dont understand...Everytime I plan the trip and get in the car, I tell myself.... Todays trip will be different I will walk in grab the 2 things I need and walk out.... Why do I lie to myself?

Does it happen to you, do you have the disease? The compulsive target shopper disease? I'm telling you I cannot remember the last time I left that store paying less then $65 upon checkout, and everytime I go its only for 1 or 2 ...maybe 3 things.

Today was no different, I went for Men's schick razors, salad dressing, and milk..... But, what I walked out with was... milk, soymilk, chicken, tomatoes, naked juice, dole juice, (2) bottles of salad dressing, canned olives, 2 bags BBQ chips, taco chips, 3 jars of baby food (super good sale, with coupon almost free), frozen peas, and corn, deodorant, razors, candy, and of course a new baby toy...... I have no idea why it shocks me so much everytime the cashier tells me the total after I just spent 30 minutes loading up the cart, and then unloading it all onto the belt, and then the bags back in the cart.. but everytime I know I look like a deer in headlights when the total is anything over $30.

One time I even told the cashier "I only came in here for 2 things how on earth is my total 60 bucks"... to which she replied...."well it looks like you got more then 2 things... that could be the problem"....thanks, chickidee.

I guess targets marketing experts are doing their job of placing the right items close by to attract the right buyers.

One day Im going to do it though... Im going to go in and come out with the only 3 things on my list.............One day

I always leave with more than planned to, but i did discover productively printing the coupons I linked to my blog and carrying them just in case I stop in saves me big time! Last trip, went in for 5 things, left with 7 bags, original total $78 something, spent $36.42. Savings $32. Felt wonderful! Of course I double with normal grocery coupons, but still, just the print offs would have saved $17.

Oh goodness!! I know how you feel. For awhile I had to tell myself that I couldn't walk through Target unless I had lots of mullah. Sadly I still end up spending lots of $ every single time I enter those doors.

You're not alone!

Haha.. I think the Target disease is the same as the Walmart and CVS disease in my book. And, when I went to PetSmart yesterday FOR JUST DOG FOOD, i walked out with dog food, box of treats AND a new dog toy. Why am I such a sucker?
