When it comes to fighting childhood obesity, there is a lot to love about cereal. Frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights. That´s true of men, women and children who choose sweetened cereals.
- Teen girls who eat cereal are less likely to become overweight than non cereal eaters.
- Boys´ cereal consumption is associated with lower body mass index (BMI).

Since E is only 10 months, and the farthest we have gotten in the cereal department is Cheerios, I would be lying if I told you that cereal is our go to for breakfast, however cereal (cheerios) is has become our "eat this while mom prepares breakfast" and I know that it is a nutritious way to start the day, by letting her snack on those while I cut up her fruit.
I have also started putting cheerios in the blender to make dust out of them, to then roll her fruit in them so she can pick them up easier.. again incorporating the grains into breakfast..
its the little things...
