With it being winter right now, little noses seem to get hit the hardest. Stuffy, runny, and crusty. I hate wiping my poor babies nose with a tissue it just seems so rough on her delicate nose.. then I found these???? How did I not know about them before? The are just saline wipes, but they are so gentle.. and leave my little sweetpea smelling just like ... grape koolaid!

I have heard chatter regarding the "New Editor" for blogger... What it is and how do I find it?

Maybe I'll just climb in the crib????

For almost a year they were nuzzled inside, nice and warm, lulled to sleep by constant movement, and the soothing sound of momma's heartbeat. They spend spend a few short days tightly swaddled inside of a possibly heated incubator, only to come home to a co-sleeping bed, or a snuggly bassinet right next to mom. While in that bassinet they are usually swaddled and placed between a sleep positioner or rolled up blankets, and possibly even rocked back and forth. Then at whatever time parents decide is right they are moved into the crib....a whole new world of smells, sounds, textures, and most of all being ALONE.

I'm not sure about your baby but my almost 4 month old who was moved to her crib at 2 weeks old, will still upon being placed in her crib while very much in a deep sleep, throw her arms and legs out and realize this place feels nothing like the womb, and is really not even comfy(have you ever felt just how firm crib mattresses are?) and with all these bars pretty much resembles a jail cell.

I have tried to "fix up" our crib so much so that it would fail every standard safe crib testing by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Child Safety committee . We may or may not have crib bumpers that go all the way around, some of our favorite lovies, a crochet blanket, and up until she developed thunder thighs and became to big a ...wait for it....sleep positioner....(gasp)!!!!!!!!!!! None of that seems to be enough to make her feel cozy, and honestly I don't blame her one bit. I mean think about it it would be like you and I going from always heated, perfect fit, o so snug as a bug ..waterbed . to being wrapped up inside a fuzzy sleeping bag and laid on a sleep number bed, to then being dropped on a cot in central booking.....just doesn't sound right.

I think there needs to be some type of transition or removable graduating system that can be placed in a crib for a few months to help it not feel so foreign? After speaking to a few other moms I know that I am not alone on this thinking .... so why hasn't something been invented? Some nights after going in there for the tenth time to pat her back and make her feel comfortable while I straining to hold my eyes open and leaning on the crib to keep from falling over I can't say the thought has never crossed my mind... you know the thought of "Hmmm I know there is a weight limit??? But maybe I should just crawl in the crib"..... Ahhhh that will be the day.

Burnt to a crisp...

Baby was napping, I was in the kitchen making a huge bowl (4 batches) of blueberry muffins to give as Christmas gifts.... I mixed it all, poured it into mini muffins pans that were lined with gingerbread men wrappers and popped them into the oven.

Then baby sweet pea woke up and was of course hungry so I fed her, and then burped her, and then was changing her diaper when I smelled a horrible smell... it was getting stronger, what was it. As I stepped into the hallway I could see some smoke coming from the kitchen, My blueberry muffins Ahhhhh...

It was then that I remembered I didn't set the alarm because I didn't want it to go off and wake up the baby, however alarms are there to keep you from forgetting thus case in point.. never cook with out the timer, as a good hour will go by and you will have little lumps of blueberry coal, thats only use would possibly be with the NHL as hockey pucks.

I ordered some really cute clothes from a blog sale, and am so excited for them to come in... I have been checking the mailbox everyday like a little girl.....

I can't be the only one

I walk out of the bedroom, and there is the package sitting on the couch, I didn't accept the package from the delivery man, nor pick it up from the mailbox. My husband walks by and points to the package "I guess my christmas present from XYZ came in today".

Are you kidding me?!?!

I think that during the Christmas shopping season, for those who choose to do online shopping, the stores should offer an option upon checkout... that would remove the store name from the package.. so that if the recipient of the gift should happen to see the package they wouldn't know based on where its from .. just what it is.

While getting ready for our church's ladies christmas dinner tonight, I thought just for the hey' of it I would try on an old pair of pants from long before I was pregnant with Em....

I pulled on a pair of Ann Taylor loft cropped dress pants in a size 6..... and guess what???? They fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I had to suck it in just a tiny bit... but no buttons popped tonight, and I didn't feel uncomfortable!

I cannot believe it where has the time gone, and when did my scrunched up, snuggly, wrinkled skin newborn turn into such a bright, lively, alert infant?

• 13.2 pounds 24inches
• size 2 diapers huggies snugglers or pampers swaddlers
• still eating every 2-2.5 hours during the day usually 4 ounces, still strickly boobie juice
• you love chewing on your hands and covering your body in drool
• you have been talking more and more
• you have recently started wrapping your hands around your bottle when you eat from one
• you loooooove your daddy and are a smiling fool when he is around
• you go to bed around 7p and wake up around 330-4 to eat then up for the day at 730-8

So what...

If I went all the way to the gym just to tan and not work out... I had good intentions.. don't judge.. let's face it even tan fat looks looks thinner!

The gym happens to be connected to the mall so I did what any of you would have done too with a few extra dollars in your pocket, and husband home watching the baby... passed up the treadmill for some retail therapy...

I have been telling myself if I could get down within just a few pounds from my pre-baby weight I would reward myself with a Victoria Secrets purchase... Don't do thinking crazy thought's just because it's from VS doesn't mean it gotta be lacy, strappy, and seductive.. I said I lost some more weight not traded my body for Heidi Klum's.. So I looked around and ended up getting some fun new P.I.N.K. pajama pants...
